Scott Weiland’s estate has been active this year promoting his legacy with plenty of correspondence to his fans through social media. They released the excellent solo Weiland song “If I Could Fly” recorded in the 2000s to streaming several months ago and now it can be had on vinyl on Record Store Day, April 18th. Its sound is reminiscent of the Stone Temple Pilots’ ‘Shangri-La-Dee-Da’ era. What’s more is the first live album from Scott Weiland will be in record stores as well. It was from a 2009 live tour that saw him promote his second solo album, ‘Happy in Galoshes’.
Here are the press releases:
“The world tragically lost Scott Weiland, lead vocalist of Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver ten years ago. An unreleased track, “If I Could Fly,” and a live version of "Barbarella," recorded in Anaheim in 2009, are now available for the first time on a limited edition 7" single pressed on color vinyl.”
