Brad Arnold was clearly living life in a way that his friends could respect and admire since many of his contemporaries in music paid their respects.  Arnold passed away on February 7th from stage 4 kidney cancer at the age of 47.  Arnold shared a video in May of last year where he discussed his diagnosis but since, he only posted a couple more times, the last being during the holiday season.

Brent Smith of Shinedown said: “You guys were the first band that ever took us out on the road, Brad was always kind, always encouraging, and always real. Thank you for the music. Thank you for the songs. Thank you for your love. Thank you for your friendship, and thank you for inspiring us all. May your light shine through all of time, and space forever.”

Alter Bridge: “Thank you Brad, your friendship was one we will hold close forever. Until we meet again,”

David Draiman of Disturbed said, “Brad was always a gentleman, a stellar musician, and a good man. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved him.”

Sevendust: “Rest now brother. Thank you for all you have given us.”

Creed: “Sending love to the Arnold and 3DD family.”

Scott Stapp separately wrote a very touching message – here’s the last part of it… “Brad thank you for your friendship, the journeys, the music, the late night talk, the laughter, and all the memories. You inspired millions all over the world. We are praying that peace and strength surround the Arnold family. We’ll see you again brother, and when we do, we’ll stand together in a song that never fades."

Mark Tremonti separately wrote, “One of the kindest people I’ve ever had the privilege of calling my friend.  It is absolutely heartbreaking to realize that you’ll never get to perform or just have a laugh with a friend that you grew up with in the music industry.”

Adam Gontier of Three Days Grace: “He had so much kindness and compassion for others.  He was truly inspiring.  The world lost a beautiful person today.  His music will live on for generations.  Rest easy brother.  We’ll miss you.”
