Shinedown have an enormous following and today, fans around the world get the new Shinedown album, ‘Ei8ht’, available from Atlantic Records on multiple platforms, vinyl, and CD.  Along with their record breaking stays on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart, they’ve also charted their last five albums in the top ten on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums.  In the U.K., Shinedown’s status grows as they peaked in the top ten with their most recent two albums on the U.K.’s Official Albums chart.

Many have already heard much of the long player due to all the previews made available by the band.  Back in January of 2025, the band issued “Dance Kid Dance” and “Three Six Five” as singles, the first introduction to ‘Ei8ht’ 16 months ago.  The former hit #1, so did “Killing Fields”, and “Searchlight”, a song which took time to climb up to the top of the Mainstream Rock chart.  “Safe and Sound” also hit #1 as their dominance of that particular chart is unparalleled.  The album was recorded in Big Animal Studio in South Carolina with their bassist Eric Bass producing – his third straight solo producer credit.

Despite all the music issued, there’s plenty more Shinedown is dishing out.  At 64 minutes and 18 songs, it’s Shinedown’s longest album with the most songs.  They’ve gone big here with plenty of tunes gathered in the past four years being issued together in one big burst.

It’s clear fans and those in control of playlists love Shinedown last year and this year hence the anticipation for today.  Currently, they’re on the ‘Dance Kid Dance II’ world tour which started earlier this month and will wrap up in November with time off between dates.  They’ll visit North America first, then head to Scandinavia and Europe.
