Shinedown Appears On American Idol Finale – Perform 2 Songs Live

Shinedown made an appearance on ‘American Idol’ with contestant Philmon Lee for the show’s three-hour season finale.  The band performed “Searchlight” the lead single from their upcoming album ‘EI8HT’ and one of their most popular hits, “Second Chance” from their 2008 album, ‘The Sound of Madness’.   The new album, ‘EI8HT’ is out on May 29^th. 

“Searchlight” took time to climb the Mainstream Rock chart, Shinedown’s most comfortable domain, but it eventually reached #1.  “Safe and Sound”, the second single is up to #3 on the chart, and a third single was just issued, “Outlaw”.
