One of rock’s most celebrated bands Green Day will be performing before the beginning of the Super Bowl LX next month in Santa Clara, California. The Oakland band has been around since the late 1980s playing hard rock together and writing hit after hit for decades. Vocalist Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt, and drummer Tre Cool have been linked by their music without break for almost four decades, one of the rare bands to see no turnover in their lineup.
With sports betting big, one wonders what the odds are for their best songs – which ones will get played? Some are anticipating Green Day may get political and play “American Idiot” since they are against the current U.S. administration of government or they can just have fun a play “Holiday”, “When I Come Around”, or one of their other big signature hits and perhaps close with hopes for the Super Bowl audience to have the “Time of Your Life”.
Bad Bunny is to play the halftime show. Super Bowl 60 is on February 8th.
