The Foo Fighters have maintained a high profile around the world, and that includes England, where they’ve topped the charts with their last three albums.  In fact, they’ve never been outside the top 10 with any of their 11 previous albums.   So anticipation was high for the latest long player, ‘Your Favorite Toy’ and that thirst got quenched with the Foos performing two of the new songs for the very first time – “Caught in the Echo”, the lead off track, and “Child Actor” on April 26th live on ‘Saturday Night Live U.K.’

There’s a punkier edge to some of the tunes on ‘Your Favorite Toy’ and that includes “Caught in the Echo”, the band’s third single off of the new album.  It’s about being caught in a sticky situation and trying to figure out which way to choose to get out and get right.  “Child Actor” is about the pressures children in the spotlight face and how it affects their lives later as an adult.  It also contains a punky side mixed into the Foo Fighters’ typical post-grunge sound.
