The Foo Fighters have had an incredibly busy schedule in 2026 and apparently that will continue to be the case for much of the year. On October 3rd in Columbia, Maryland, Tom Morello, of Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave, will host the ‘Power to the People’ Festival which includes the Foo Fighters as a major attraction. There are several big names on hand including legends like Bruce Springsteen and Joan Baez, plus rock veterans like Dave Matthews, Serj Tankian of System of a Down, Taylor Momsen from The Pretty Reckless, and bands Dropkick Murphys, The Linda Lindas, & Cypress Hill, Killer Mike, Daryl McDaniels from Run DMC. Tickets go on sale May 30th for the Merriweather Post Pavilion show in the fall.
Last Saturday at BottleRock, the Foo Fighters made news by playing “Jesus Doesn’t Want Me For a Sunbeam”, a Vaselines song made famous through Nirvana’s cover for their 'MTV Unplugged' show back in 1993. Usually the Foo Fighters stick to Foo Fighters songs, primarily the hits, so it was a pleasant surprise for FF fans who love Nirvana as well.
