Back on January 8th, Breaking Benjamin asked their Facebook fans if they could have a song's isolated vocal tracks, which song would it be.  There were plenty of hits and deep cuts answered in the 2000 fan comments.  On January 12th, the band issued a 45-second clip of isolated vocals from “Dear Agony” (Aurora version) with Lacey Sturm guesting.  You can hear Ben and Lacey harmonize isolated from the hard rock that usually accompanies anything Ben sings.

A second fun track from the band was issued.  It’s guaranteed we’ve never heard this version of “The Diary of Jane” before.  There’s a brief version on Breaking Benjamin’s Facebook page where instead of traditional rock instruments, the melody can be heard with a Game Boy sound – 1980s cheesy synths in an old school video game trebly style where we can’t hear any bass, just whiny-toned synths.

Both are one-off trivial tracks, but perhaps the band are thinking they’d like to give their fans some alternate takes of songs or generally archived, unreleased material.  Let’s hope we get more oddities like these two tracks.
