Badflower Cancel Tour Due to Josh Katz Illness

Josh Katz took to social media last week to open up about what he’s been experiencing on stage—growing concern that his vocals haven’t been holding up the way they used to. He explained that he’s been struggling with high notes, cracking on low notes, and feeling like his voice simply isn’t improving. Although he initially planned to push through the remaining dates of Badflower’s tour, the band has now cancelled the final shows.

Katz has been visibly stressed throughout the run, often addressing the issue between songs and telling audiences he didn’t feel he was delivering the full Badflower experience. He’s been transparent with fans both at shows and online, promising to give everything he had each night despite the discomfort. But the situation has worsened. After visiting several doctors, he now needs time to follow their guidance and focus on recovery.

The tour had been largely successful until Katz’s vocal issues began affecting performances, which is part of why the band kept going as long as they did.

Ultimately, they decided it was best to stop. Their statement on social media reads:

“Due to an ongoing health issue within the band, we need to cancel the remaining 8 shows of our tour. We are very sorry to have to do this. Please get a refund at point of purchase and we look forward to coming back soon!”
