Billy Corgan and Smashing Pumpkins continue to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their double album opus, ‘Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness’ with a short European tour featuring classical arrangements of the songs fans know and love.  It’s ‘an orchestral and operatic reading’.   The album has plenty that can be translated into orchestral arrangements and it’s unclear if the entirety will be played or just select songs.  Corgan’s press release reads:

“Opera and rock both tell stories of heightened emotions, and I am excited for both fans of my music and traditional opera fans to hear some truly inspired work; for the balance here is to honor both traditions in a magisterial way.”

Corgan will be on hand as well.  They have already done a show like this in Chicago months ago and now are bringing it to Europe.
