The Oasis reunion tour may be the most popular rock band tour of 2025.  Oasis fans waited 16 years to see their beloved Brits take the world over once again with their brand of rock, and they have succeeded mightily by all accounts.  With opener Cage the Elephant in tow, Oasis celebrated their career with a greatest hits setlist first in Europe and then in the United States.  It’s been a whirlwind that finds Cage the Elephant vocalist Matt Shultz more than appreciative.  “It has definitely been surreal.  It’s incredibly humbling,” Shultz toldVariety in a recent interview.  He felt Oasis were “very family-oriented on this tour.  I’ve seen some of their kids around, but Liam and Noel have been very isolated.  They’re living a kind of home life on the road so we haven’t hung out yet.

Matt now feels greater love for his own brother bandmate Brad now that he saw the Gallagher brothers come together to activate the Oasis name.  “We’ve never had a period where we weren’t close, but this definitely deepened our relationship.”

Cage the Elephant usually performed 11 songs as the opener, with several of their biggest hits including “Cigarette Daydreams” and “Come a Little Closer”.  Now they are back to headlining their own shows again.  Just four days after their final show with Oasis, Cage the Elephant were back to headlining their own shows again.  On September 17th, they played a full 19-song set in Clearwater, Florida at The BayCare Sound.
